Halo: The Master Chief Collection Dev Panel - SDCC 2014

Just started listening a couple minutes ago.  Lots of great information in here.  If I can make a post detailing it I will, but with my vacation starting tonight that could be tough.  If one of you gets a chance to break it down feel free to email it to me dollmytee (@) gmail DOT com.

  • The panel is talking over the Collection, Single UI/All Missions Unlocked/etc
  • On Xbox One now, the games switch instantly from Classic to Anniversary graphics and vice versa
  • More skulls added to Halo 2 campaign
  • Blur Studios is creating cinematics to bridge Halo 4 to Halo 5
  • Discussing Frank and Max (of CA) time at Bungie during Halo 2
  • Talking about the goals of Halo 2, what made it work etc.
  • Zanzibar is back, being remade for Halo 2 Anniversary
  • Talking about Zanzibar, how it came together & what worked/didn’t
  • Blur Studio cinematics aren’t 1:1 creation from Halo 2, have their own spin on it
  • Halo 2: Anniversary cinematics will be close to an hour
  • Music will be done by Skywalker Sound (worked on Spartan Assault)
  • Talking about Damion Poitier role as Sgt. Johnson – motion capture.
  • Showing off more Halo 2: Anniversary cinematics.
  • 24 days of new motion capture for Halo 2: Anniversary
  • No special edition planned for the Master Chief Collection
  • Nothing about being on PC yet
  • Glitches remain intact, will have educational tutorials to help newcomers.
  • Project was first discussed during Halo: CE Anniversary
  • No plans for dual-wielding in Halo 5, but still possible
  • Panel over, VOD up in the next few days
