Guest post on why MisterXmedia, MisterCteam and Insider are taking people for a ride.

I do not normally do this sort of thing just because anonymous people immediately throw up red flags, but since this person wanted to share their opinion and it would obviously never be allowed to be posted on MisterXMedia's site I opted to let it fly.  This person explicitly asked to remain as an anonymous person and I will respect their wishes.

On top of that they make some great points regarding how MisterX, MisterC and their insider are most likely taking everyone on that site for a ride.  Part of what he says at the end about MisterC is even backed up by a verified Xbox One developer whom I wrote a post about over a month ago.

For those that are curious.  No, there is no inside information here.  Just a rational perspective on things which would be suppressed if he were to share it with the people of MisterXmedia.

Enjoy!

"Microsoft is a publicly traded company:

Since quite a long time, the idea is floating around that MS is intentionally holding back the full power of the XB1 in order to "catch Sony with their pants down".

People seem to forget that Microsoft is a publicly traded company. Intentionally holding back a product to screw over a competitor and therefore minimizing sales and profit would cause a massive outcry from their shareholders. I'm not sure about the laws in the US, but doing something like that could even cause a criminal investigation here.

This also applies to the NDA expiry theory. No way in hell MS would sign an NDA with an expiry date and unleash the full power later. After that date, shit would also hit the fan as described before. MS's legal department is huge and they are not stupid, so they would never mess with their shareholders.

I'm sure that there are actual NDAs in place, but these are most likely intended to protect patented technology and trade secrets. Neither AMD nor MS would want their proprietary technology and knowledge to become publicly available for all their competitors.

mistercteam:

In my opionion, the stuff mistercteam posts on this site is much worse than MisterX / Insider's stuff. This is the technical BS everyone is talking about which keeps the site alive.

I work in IT as a Sysadmin since over 10 years and follow the latest IT news on a daily basis. By doing so, I found a very simple pattern of how mistercteam operates:

Whenever there is a new technology announcement from either AMD, Microsoft or sometimes Intel, within 24 to 28 hours mistercteam posts this as "latest NDA expired, the XB1 contains this stuff". He googles for some Powerpoint slides, applies his nonsensical "technical knowledge" to them with MS paint and *BAM*, he's got new content which keeps the site going for a few more days.

The latest FPGA stuff is probably the worst I've seen so far. While FPGAs are a real (and actually quite old) technology which can be very useful for some use cases, he's ignoring two major facts:

1) The FPGA-on-a-CPU announcement came from Intel, the market leader and AMD's biggest competitor. The XB1 APU is made by AMD, not Intel.
2) This feature is available for Intel Xeon CPUs, which are Intel's most expensive high end server CPUs. Even without the integrated FPGA, these CPUs alone (!) cost more than multiple XB1's with Kinect.

Basically there is no way his FPGA theory can be true."

  1. As someone would say, "Boom". However, this is just another nameless voice providing info. It boils down to trust and motive. Many (I used to think as well) think you have an axe to grind against the Mr.X site. The fact that you regularly post statements against him/his site could be viewed as proof of this.
On the other hand, you make logical points that are hard to refute. I don't look at it as a crusade against X as much as I see it as an attempt to wake people up. What you ignore is that people on that site are happy enough with the status quo. They have their varying degrees of trust for the Insider and have made up their own mind. You can't force them to leave as plenty of them are there for the format, constant updates and centralized focus of posts. Yes, he runs it like a gulag when it comes to questioning the Insider. That is the caveat to being able to post. Those who are there understand that and those of us who are banned understand that as well...now.

    1. "Many (I used to think as well) think you have an axe to grind against the Mr.X site."

I can promise you I don't. If going over claims, leaks and predictions while pointing out how wrong the vast majority of them are then I can live with that being called grinding an axe.

"On the other hand, you make logical points that are hard to refute."

It is amazing how actual solid facts work like that.

"I don't look at it as a crusade against X as much as I see it as an attempt to wake people up."

You can look at it however you choose. I am doing it because someone should be on record (since he likes to erase history) as showing how utterly wrong he is all the time.

"What you ignore is that people on that site are happy enough with the status quo."

That is totally fine by me. Those people can do whatever they like.

"They have their varying degrees of trust for the Insider and have made up their own mind."

A trust based on what is my main question? A solid history of accurate information? He doesn't have that. THAT, is what I am doing here. People have this illusion that the guy is right all the time and that is all that it is...an illusion. The reality is that he's not got a leg to stand on when it comes to his record.

"You can't force them to leave as plenty of them are there for the format, constant updates and centralized focus of posts."

I am not forcing anyone to do anything at all. That is not why I ever made my own site. A site that I was posting on long before I ever even got involved with MisterX for the record.

"Yes, he runs it like a gulag when it comes to questioning the Insider. That is the caveat to being able to post. Those who are there understand that and those of us who are banned understand that as well...now."

Well, things do not have to be that way. I know of many other sites which do not operate that way and have just as friendly of atmosphere which I would suggest if anyone asked.

    2. I think you misunderstand my post as you seem defensive. You have 100% right to question him, review his theories or call him out on his false claims. I think I don't understand your motives but I don't need to. Maybe it is just a hobby to track his failures.
My only point is that the evidence of his accuracy is there in the posts. Most people have made up their own minds based on that accuracy (or lack thereof).
What they need solid education on is why his tech theories are garbage or accurate.

    3. Well lucky for them I do have a guy who wants to get into some of that and keep doing guest posts.

  2. Mistercteam and his technology bullshit bingo is indeed the biggest problem there. There were quite a few people in the past that have challenged him but they are gone. I don't know if they left on their own or by force

  3. They also mentioned a titanfall graphics upgrade and it did happen, now on the technical side I do believe the xbox one is newer tecnology and the ps4 is dated. Why do I say this never in history has an exclusive been released sandwich between 2 black bars ever but this is not spoke of on any site

    1. No, they "announced" a Titanfall RESOLUTION upgrade and that has not happened.

    2. Dollmytee's guest poster here. Proof for Dollmytee: Our last conversation started with "That is".

Yes, The Order 1886 has black bars, and nobody knows the real reason why. It could be an artistic choice (like the devs said) or even a performance problem. Both can be true, but no one except the devs knows for sure. I'm undecided on what to believe since I rely on facts, not rumors.

However, I have an analogy for you:

Imagine there a two cars competing in a race. One car is beating the other one most of the time. On one race track however, the usually faster car is starting with a new paint job. Nobody knows why, but a lot of people think it's ugly.

Your conclusion: The new paint job is proof that the car has a weaker engine.

    3. Yes that is correct and this does verify who you are.

  4. Misterxmedia also predicted a resolution upgrade for Dead Rising 3 for at least 2 times a thing that did not happen either.

  5. There has been no confirmed res bump for TF. It looks a lot better but that could be for other reasons. None of the res patches have come true to my knowledge. The black bars are easier for renderi g purposes. No shaders or aliasing need to be processed for those areas. If it trult was merely artistic, their could easily be a mode toggle to allow 1080p or their vision.
